No Worries – No Obstacles

It is so important to let life flow. We all know this, but so many of us get caught up in worry and haste that we forget to slow down and meld into the rhythm of authentic spiritual living. There is a natural rhythm to life that when we are in step with it, all things good come to pass. Obstacles are non-existent, in part because we don’t see them (we truly do create our own obstacles) and because the energy we emit in this natural flow attracts the vibration of matter that is its counter-part.

We all have concerns now and then and most of us do not escape the hustle and bustle one hundred percent of the time that has come to define daily living in so many parts of the world. However, we can slow down amidst the chaos and apply an attitude of calm and freedom to our movements to instantly bring a sense of relief and order within the madness.

Fine-tuning the brain to think differently is a big part of bringing order and tranquility to one’s life. I have learned on a personal level that it isn’t so much about resting the physical body, as much as it is about resting the brain that determines one’s true state of mindfulness (conscious living). We don’t have to stop everything and meditate in the middle of the day to bring about this state either. It’s a case of deciding to think differently and be more mindful of how we want to react (or preferably act) at all times, remembering to get back in sync with a more gentle approach to daily living when we do fall out of our natural spiritual rhythm.

I’ll be the first to say I do not have this fully down pat just yet. However, every experience we have that brings us anxiety is an opportunity to decide how we want to do it differently next time (and there will be a next time for sure). This technique of deciding to live more mindfully also disciplines us to stay in the moment (something we all know about as well, but most of us have a tremendously difficult time doing). Staying in the moment brings the state of bliss, calm, certainty, confidence, trust, faith and every other positive characteristic we aspire to achieve on the spiritual path. We let go of worry when we are in the moment, because there is absolutely nothing to worry about as we experience each passing moment.

If you are facing a particularly difficult challenge right now, boredom, frustration or uncertainty about the future, shift your mind to reflect on the only thing you do have, which is the present. Take a deep breath. Trust that everything will work out exactly as it should in exactly the right timing. Our family has recently gone through a major positive shift. It has required all of us to think differently and adapt to changing circumstances that are undoubtedly paving the way for the future we are mindfully creating. I am embracing whatever changes come my way by opening my mind to the newness of whatever comes next on the path. It feels invigorating and inspiring to shake things up. Shaking things up allows us to create a new vision for our life without worry and fear, where at our inner core we always know exactly where we are going. Toss the worry, lose the obstacles! Enjoy everything at your fingertips!
