Are you a messenger?

Recently I presented a talk to a gathering of individuals from all walks of life, more numbered in the pain and struggle category. When I arrived at the setting, I was a little taken aback that the presentation format I was expecting was different. Thinking on my feet, I quickly recalculated what I needed to say and with a deep breath, rose when I was called to the podium to give my talk.

For some of the participants, I felt the material may have been a little overwhelming. I had to squeak in 45 minutes worth of presentation in half the time (there had been a glitch in getting the format information to me so I really was flying by the seat of my pants). I cut out a mediation and instead went through the 5 principles of Part 2 of Divine Healing (bit.ly/UtgMlj) in a way that I hoped people would connect with and appreciate. Afterward, several individuals thanked me for the talk and some were able to pinpoint that precise speck of wisdom they had gained that if it was the only thing they remembered, it was what they were meant to hear that could help them change their life.

As messengers we cannot deviate from what we are meant to impart. I recall certifying for my Angel Therapy Practitioner training in California a few years back and the one card I “randomly” drew that reminds me daily to “Speak my Truth”. I didn’t know then how significant that card would become for my remaining life’s journey.

We are all messengers, and particularly so when we embrace enlightenment. No matter who engages in our messages, it’s important to remember that information always reaches the subconscious, even when it seems that it’s not being processed by others. This particular event I spoke at included in the audience, former deviants, addicts, people in a great deal of trouble, some bearing horrible losses and other difficulties. I felt that my life experience as a bereaved mom looked charmed in comparison to many. Initially, I felt out of place, but as I literally embraced others unconditionally I allowed the Divine to move through me and reach people in the way they were meant to be reached. In that one hug we were no different. As always, when we look back I can see that I perhaps would have changed a thing or two given the context. But then again I am a believer that everything happens as it’s meant to, no questions asked.

Are you a messenger? If the answer is yes and you are feeling reticent or unsure of your calling, remember that every one of your statements, wisdom, advice, opinions, counsel given, care provided and sharing you enjoy with others leaves a mark on everyone you encounter. Do not shy away from what you feel compelled to say to and share with others based on your experience, knowledge and insights.

When we touch someone’s life in a positive way we are that messenger our planet so desperately needs. Someone has signed up long before they got to the planet to hear what we are saying when we feel compelled to speak. In turn, we benefit and learn from the sharing too, so that there is never a wasted moment.
